New-york based jeweler Gabriel Urist has teamed up with Dominique Ansell of Cronut fame to create a forever Cronut for your Valentine, a pendant necklace cast in brass
Cronuts are the new symbol for romance this week, with an innovative collaboration between NYC jeweler and pastry chef Dominique Ansell just in time for Valentine’s Day. Purchase a forever Cronut, a limited edition pendanct necklace with a glass vial filled with brass Cronut flakes for your Valentine, available through the Virgin Mega app. The flakes are, of course, cast in brass from the actual sweets. And to make the gift even sweeter, your $100 purchase includes two delicious cronuts created by Ansell, one for each of you, created with cherry blossom ganache, sour cherry jam and citrus sugar.
Only 100 of these necklaces are being made – 50 will be available to purchase in NYC, and the other 50 will be couriered overnight around the country. With such a limited amount, it’s best to jump the queue and sign up for the app right away. The iOS version is available from the Apple App store, and you can get the Android version from the Google Play store right away. The limited edition Cronut jewels go on sale from 3pm EST on Wednesday 11 February.
