The display, which is in partnership with Georgia’s Savannah College of Art, will be at the Jewel Box at Miami’s National YoungArts Foundation. Curated by SCAD Museum and Exhibitions, it will be on display before Art Basel Miami – from 29 November until 15 December 2016.
The Art Programme features Miami-born Cuban artist José Parlá, who studied at Miami Dade Community College as well at Rolls Royce’s partner, SCAD. He has mentored a number of rising stars in the art world, and is a master teacher with YoungArts. This art display is the third created by Rolls Royce at Art Basel Miami, and after its Miami run, the exhibition will be displayed at SCAD in 2017.
According to CEO of Rolls Royce, Torsten Müller-Ötvös, “…the commissioning of a Rolls Royce motor car and the creation of fine pieces of art are bound by a common philosophy. Both endeavors are born of inspiration and are executed at the hands of highly skilled men and women, who strive to create beautiful objects with a profound sense of legacy.” Rolls Royce’s Art Programme epitomizes the link between one of the most luxurious vehicles in the world and the field of art.
