Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week

Every January, Paris comes alive with fashionistas, designers and models to celebrate Couture and Haute Couture for Spring/Summer 2017 at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week. Baroque Access finds out more

Along with a new year, there’s a new batch of Fashion Weeks to enjoy, and aside from January’s menswear offerings, there’s also the much-anticipated Couture Fashion Week in Paris, from 22 to 26 January. Although the public cannot purchase tickets to the fashion shows, the rich and famous are often invited. So if you’re one of those with an invitation to attend some of the shows, or are happy to hang out in the popular trendy bars and restaurants around the Carrousel du Louvre, you’ll be able to be part of the action.

Watch out for famous designers such as Karl Lagerfeld, Jean-Paul Gautier and British icon Vivienne Westwood relaxing between shows. Or catch a glimpse of a celeb or two taking it easy before a show, or discussing the highlights of one of the shows on offer this year. Two iconic designer brands are also giving presentations during that week. Atelier Versace’s presentations will be held from 23 to 25 January, and Givenchy is giving private sessions on 25 January from 2 to 6pm, by appointment only.

Below is a schedule of some of the highlights of the coming Paris Haute Couture Fashion week, in case you are planning to attend.
