Melbourne Airport is set to have a VIP terminal exclusively dedicated to the highest of flyers including celebrities, high-level dignitaries, rock bands, cashed-up whales bound for the city's Crown Casino and others belonging to the private jet set.
The brainchild of Melbourne business tycoon Paul Little, his company purchased a 49 acre site within Melbourne's Tullamarine Airport for approximately $10 million and plans to develop site to house a VIP terminal by the middle of 2015, subject to approval by Melbourne Airport. "It is the sort of world-class facility that Melbourne just doesn't have at the moment,'" said Little.
The VIP terminal will serve domestic travelers, while plans are in full motion to set up quarantine and customs operation for handling international travelers.
