New Swiss gentleman’s club opens in Geneva

Perfectly timed to coincide with the Festive Season, IWC Shaffhausen opened ‘Les Aviateurs’ right next door to its boutique in Geneva. Baroque Access has all the details

iwc bar 3.jpg

Opened at the end of November 2017 and designed in the style of an exclusive gentleman’s club, Les Aviateurs not only offers a plush spot to relax with something to drink, but also brings the fascinating world of the brand’s legendary Pilot Watches to life in a most unique way. The bar has been tastefully designed to create a cosy, inviting atmosphere. The design was inspired by the spirit of those pioneers of aviation such as author Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, who wrote the famous book The Little Prince.

iwc bar.jpg

The IWC boutique itself opened this past summer on Genva’s Rue du Rhône, whilst the bar next door has been a collaboration between IWC and luxury department store Globus to offer people the opportunity to experience the legendary brand’s famous Pilot’s Watches in a most unique setting. Les Aviateurs is a pilot’s bar, and the bar itself is a unique way to showcase some of the famous Swiss horologist’s most famous timepieces.

IWC has a pioneering spirit, and this is evident in both the boutique and the brand new gentleman’s bar. Geneva, of course, is the capital of watchmaking, making it the ideal location for a unique establishment of this kind.

iwc bar 2.jpg

Les Aviateurs has been decorated with plenty of dark wood including fine aged wooden floors, high ceilings and leather to give the impression of a luxury British gentleman’s club with a metal bar counter that resembles the bow of a warship. Its sophisticated interior is reminiscent of those legendary clubs of the halcyon 1920s and 1930s, and there are plenty of historic items included, such as original photographs and maps that take guests back in time to the captivating era of aviation pioneers.

The drinks menu itself is filled with numerous creative cocktails, all inspired by IWC’s Pilot Watch collection. There’s the RJ Mitchell, named after the man who designed the Supermarine Spitfire, and The Rose, inspired by the rose motif in Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s story of The Little Prince.

iwc festive season.jpg

The boutique next door is of course a joy to explore, offering a selection of the brand’s luxury timepieces that IWC is so famous for. IWC, after all, has been making fine quality watches since it first opened in 1868, and has become one of the most famous luxury watch brands in the world.

Les Aviateurs is open from 7am until late in the evening, meaning that it’s not just a bar, but more of a gentleman’s club, after all… It’s ideal for coffee in the morning, a business lunch and relaxed drinks after dinner.

Yours for only $7,500 – Lalique and Patrón collaborate once again

What would you like your premium tequila served in? Well, if it’s Patrón, nothing less than Lalique, of course. There is a limited edition of just 299 bottles available, at $7,500 each. Baroque Access has the details

patron lalique.jpg

Internationally acclaimed French crystal manufacturers, Lalique have teamed up one of the world’s highest-quality sophisticated spirits, Patrón tequila for the second time to create a unique, limited edition decanter filled with this famous brand’s nectar. It’s called the ‘Patrón en Lalique: Series 2’ and this time it’s filled with an exceptional blend of Patrón extra añejo tequilas that were aged for more than seven years in the barrel room at the Hacienda Patrón distillery located in the Highlands of Jalisco in Mexico. This exceptional nectar was sourced from three different types of barrels – American oak, French oak and Spanish sherry.

patron 4.jpg

The collectors’ edition crystal decanters, which were crafted at Lalique’s factory in Wingen-sur-Moder in Northern France, are each presented in a special rotating display case. The design of these rare decanters includes straight lines as well as contrasting clear and frosted finishes.

The design was inspired by Mexico’s famous Weber Blue Agave plant, an indigenous plant from which tequila is produced. Each decanter boasts a rounded crystal stopper that is the same color as the tequila inside it. Patrón’s distinctive bee symbol is featured on the stopper in pure gold enamel.

patron 5.jpg

Only 299 decanters filled with Patrón were produced for this second collaboration between the tequila brand and Lalique crystal. They are available at selected retailers of fine spirits as well as selected duty free stores worldwide.

Lalique’s Series 1 Tequila featuring Patrón set the trend for a special treatment for the liquor, something that until then had been the domain of Scotch whiskies. In fact, Lalique had previously created special bottles for Macallan before collaborating with Patrón. Series 1 was limited to 500 bottles, making Series 2, with its 299 bottles, even more rare.

Both Patrón and Lalique have an unwavering dedication to their passion and craft, which is why the two brands have formed such a successful and exclusive partnership. If you would like to be one of the privileged few to sample this exceptional nectar and have the exquisitely designed decanter as a keepsake, let Baroque Access assist. Contact us right away on and we will assist you with your purchase.

The most expensive tequila in the world

Yes, this exclusive Mexican tequila really does cost $30,000 a bottle. Although you can get cheaper varieties from Clase Azul, from $100 all the way up to the most expensive in the world. Baroque Access finds out what makes it so special

Clase Azul is drunk at exclusive parties and events around the world, including movie premieres, celebrity parties and even the 2017 Screen Actors Guild Awards. When it was originally launched in 1997 by Mexican local Arturo Lomeli it wasn’t a quality brand. But Lomeli went back to study his masters in luxury marketing, and with his specialist degree, he learned about the value of crafting a top quality product that he bottled in an extremely beautiful, unique packaging.

Today, Clase Azul tequilas come in exquisitely handcrafted ceramic decanters that resemble restaurant-sized pepper grinders. But that’s where the similarity ends. These are exclusively sculpted and hand-painted, rare masterpieces in their own right. These days, Clase Azul is synonymous with superb quality and cachet, from the exquisite nectar inside the beautiful bottles to the artworks that are the bottles themselves.

The first high-end Clase Azul tequila was launched in 2007, a dark amber-colored tequila called Clase Azul Ultra that was sold for $1,200 per bottle. What started out as a novelty became a high-end product that was sought-after the world over. That was the start. Of course, timing did have a part in this. Americans were starting to acquire a taste for premium tequila, and he was offering just that. Since then, premium alcohol products such as Clase Azul have become very popular and are, in fact, what US customers look for when purchasing a tequila brand.

So it should come as no surprise that a $30,000 price tag has been affixed to one of the Clase Azul tequilas. Of course, in this case, it isn’t just the nectar inside, but the bottle itself that is causing such a stir. The Clase Azul spirit was created to celebrate the brand’s 15th anniversary, and the ceramic bottle in which it is encased is extremely exclusive, each hand-painted with platinum and featuring a silver agave medallion and label applied using the aforesaid 24-karat gold.

Although Clase Azul is produced in Mexico, it is exclusively sold to the US and European markets, as well as some very privileged US visitors to Cancun and Los Cabos beach resorts. Apparently, in 2016, the company sold 234,000 bottles of tequila within the US, an increase of 46% from the previous year.

Clase Azul tequila is so pure and luxurious that it is never mixed into a cocktail or drunk as a shot. It’s meant to be savored, to be tasted and enjoyed neat, like a good whisky. The brand has become legendary for its superior quality and rich flavor profile. The result is a tequila that is literally in a class of its own. Exclusive tequilas from Clase Azul are only produced in numbered batches of 100 bottles, and these are sought-after by collectors. Each of these bottles contains tequila that has been aged for five years in special sherry wood casks imported from Spain. And each decanter is a masterpiece, with its own unique character.

If you would like to purchase one of these exquisite limited edition tequilas, or would like more information on Clase Azul and its various products, let Baroque Access assist. Contact us right away, and we will assist you.

Celebrate in St Tropez with Dom Perignon

There’s only one place we like to party when we’re in Saint Tropez, and that’s the legendary Les Caves du Roy at the beautiful Byblos Hotel. And there’s only one drink to celebrate with, and that’s vintage Dom Pérignon champagne. Baroque Access finds out about it

This year, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the club that has hosted the likes of Mick Jagger and Sean Coombs, the French champagne brand has released a special celebratory collection, the Dom Pérignon Byblos Exclusive Series to honor the golden jubilee, the half century that this cool club has been in existence.

There are five bottles in this exclusive limited edition collection, each a Methuselah bottle celebrating one of the five decades of the club’s existence, from the psychedelic 70s to the captivating 21st Century. The champagne brand collaborated with this iconic nightclub to create the five bottles filled with Dom Pérignon’s 2003 vintage nectar, a sophisticated wine that will be enjoyed by novices and connoisseurs alike. Each of the bottles is a singular and unique masterpiece, a diffusion of colors that sparkle and shimmer and change with the light, inspired by the changing lights of the club when the party is in full swing. These five decades are each depicted through the music, fashion and artworks that were fashionable at that time and the decade’s atmosphere is engraved in the glass bottle for eternity.

Understandably, you can only purchase these exclusive bottles at one place, and that’s at Lees Caves du Roy. They are currently available throughout the summer until 7 October 2017.

Les Caves du Roy is an iconic nightclub, still featuring the same décor that made it famous half a century ago, with baroque columns adorned with gold brocade embroidered with Oriental touches that tower over the VIP booths.

Dom Pérignon is the prestigious nightclub’s signature tipple. The limited edition champage has been described by cellar master Richard Geoffroy as “a duality between restraint and expression”. A fitting tribute to a club that still rocks as it did 50 years ago.

This epic nightclub is as young today as it was five decades ago. It’s probably the most famous nightclub in all of France and has defied age and time to stand strong as a sanctuary of modern music. In fact, it now boasts a namesake CD that is played all over the world. Located just off the Hotel Byblos’ main passageway, its entrance is guarded by security to ensure that celebrities and other elite enjoy the club in the utmost privacy.

At Les Caves du Roy, champagne corks pop every minute and the rich and famous dance to trance and techno remixes, spun by iconic DJ Jack-E. Of course the dress code is as exclusive as the club and the champagne.

If you’d like to party the night away at Les Caves du Roy with Dom Pérignon, let Baroque Access assist. Contact us right away, and we will give you all the information you need on the exclusive limited edition Dom Pérignon Byblos Exclusive Series and arrange entrance into the equally exclusive club. See you there!

Rich by Veuve Cliquot

For those who enjoy only the finest things in life, French champagne brand Veuve Cliquot has something new on the menu – RICH, a champagne that was specially created for mixology

Just in time for summer, innovative French champagne brand Veuve Cliquot has created something new and refreshing, a brand of champagne that was created especially to be combined with other ingredients for cocktails. This iconic bubbly brand has been titillating the palates of connoisseurs for more than two and a half centuries – since 1772 to be exact – but that doesn’t mean it’s not ready to stay right on trend. While it set the trend in the 18th Century for nobility and the wealthy to enjoy champagne, it’s now setting another trend: creating a drink that is just begging to be experimented with, to be mixed with other ingredients to create fine champagne cocktails.

Its latest iteration – Veuve Cliquot RICH is blended with a higher dosage of Veuve Cliquot Pinot Noir and balanced with the fresh, gourmand flavors of Menier. This innovative combination elevates the fruitiness of the nectar and creates the ideal base to use when mixing a cocktail.

To make life even more exciting, there isn’t just one iteration of RICH; Veuve Cliquot has presented two… the RICH and the RICH Rosé. The former begs for a mix using pineapples, grapefruit zest, celery, cucumber, tea and peppers, while the Rosé is ideal for mixing with ginger, lime, tea and pineapples. This unique collection was created by Veuve Cliquot Cellar Master, Dominique Demarville, together with a number of expert mixologists. Both iterations are beautifully presented in silver bottles adorned with Veuve Cliquot’s iconic comet deisgn.

While Reims-based Champagne house Veuve Cliquot’s latest creation has been especially designed to blend perfectly with certain ingredients, it’s also been crafted so that you can create your very own customized Champagne cocktails. And with spring almost here, and summer on the horizon, there’s no better time to use your imagination and combine your own choice of ingredients.

Creating a trend of drinking champagne in every possible manifestation is a wise move for this prestigious brand. Veuve Cliquot is showing those who have the taste, the style and of course, the money, to enjoy their fine bubbly just how versatile and unique it is. A champagne to be enjoyed throughout the heady summer days ahead, day and night, and in a variety of jet set locations around the world.

1) Place ice cubes in a large wine glass

The perfect drink to savor in the New Year

Scottish whisky brand Glenmorangie has just launched the first whisky in the Bond House No 1 collection of vintage single malts, the perfect drink to celebrate the start of a brand new year. Baroque Access finds out all the details

The inaugural expression of this brand new Glenmorangie vintage whisky collection is the Grand Vintage Malt 1990, which depicts a memorable year in the history of the Scottish brand’s famous distillery. Glenmorangie is famous for its continual quest for excellence, its meticulous crafting and aging of whisky. This is the inspiration behind this new collection of whiskies that blend both tradition and innovation together as seamlessly as the whiskies themselves.

glenmorangie 1.jpg

The new Glenmorangie collection is being specially created for both collectors and connoisseurs alike to celebrate aged whisky at its best. The Grand Vintage Malt 1990 is the first release in this collection; it celebrates one of the brand’s most memorable years. In 1990, Warehouse Number 1, where Glenmorangie Distillery’s casks of maturing whisky used to be kept, was renovated and transformed into a majestic still house, which to this day is famous for featuring the tallest copper stills in Scotland.

glenmorangie distillery.jpg

The year 1990 was also renowned for having a difficult barley harvest as far as whisky production is concerned. Despite this, Glenmorangie managed to create an excellent nectar that is elegant with fruity, floral aromas. This vintage whisky has been aged for 25 years in casks that were once used for sherry and bourbon. It is the first in the Bond House No 1 Collection and will be joined by other equally unique single malt whiskies in the years to come.

The Bond House No 1 Collection of whiskies will be a showcase of Glenmorangie’s most complex and elegant vintage malts. Each will be distilled in one year. The first of these, the Grand Vintage Malt 1990, has been described as having “heady, floral and fruity notes”. Apparently, it boasts “sweet flavors of orange syrup, puff candy, honeycomb and vanilla”. It also offers connoisseurs a unique opportunity to explore a very individual whisky that defied all the odds to become an absolute delight.

At around $605 per bottle, this unique limited release whisky is not only worth tasting, it also offers the perfect drink to herald in a new year. If you would like to find out how you can purchase one of these exceptional bottles, let Baroque Access assist. Contact us right away, and we will arrange your purchase for you.

Introducing MCIII, the Ultimate Expression of Moët & Chandon

World famous French champagne house Moët & Chandon continues its relentless pursuit of excellence with a brand new bubbly that is set to revolutionize the market. Baroque Access has all the details

Moët & Chandon champagne is a bold, beautiful bubbly that has stood the test of time for almost three centuries (270 years to be exact). Originally founded by Claude Moët in the middle of the 18th Century, the champagne house was a family business, with a legacy of quality that still stands true to this day.

The latest addition to the Moët & Chandon stable is a bubbly that is synonymous with everything stylish, celebrations that involve black tie, red carpets and every other form of pomp and splendor. The new champagne, called MCIII, pushes boundaries, creating a drinking experience that represents the third century of Moët & Chandon in the best possible way. The prestige cuvée MCIII is a bold champagne, much like its predecessors, but the new iteration is a little different.

It’s a hybrid, a champagne created from various vintage wines that have been matured across three entirely different environments – metal, glass and wood. This blend gives MCIII a most unique and distinctive personality, rendering each of the wines integrated into the final product even stronger and bolder than before. The result of this extraordinary creation is Moët & Chandon’s most complex champagne, one that is also its most harmonious. It’s a revolutionary new tasting experience.

The name ‘MCIII’ expresses this bold new champagne perfectly. The MC, of course, stands for ‘Moët & Chandon’, and the ‘III’ represents the three different universes of wood, glass and metal in which the champagne was matured. The bottle is as luxurious as the final nectar itself. It’s a marriage of two universes, a luminous black glass bottle and an intricate metal cap and base. There is a third universe, too, of course – the wooden coffret in which the bottle rests.

If you would like to find out more about this exceptional new champagne, or are interested in purchasing some, let Baroque Access assist. Contact us right away, and we will arrange this for you.

Cocktails, French couture and a luxury London stay

London’s sumptuous Café Royal Hotel is collaborating with French design house Givenchy to create 10 new cocktails in honour of L’Atelier de Givenchy fine fragrances. Baroque Access finds out all about it

The luxury Café Royal Hotel is already renowned for offering guests exclusive cocktails in its vibrant Green Bar. And now 10 brand new couture cocktails are being added to the menu in collaboration with Parfums Givenchy to celebrate the brand’s L’Atelier de Givenchy fine fragrances, especially the latest perfume in the collection – Iris Harmonique.

All 10 of these magnificent fragrance creations are available exclusively at Harrod’s in London, and the hotel’s famous Green Bar will offer the 10 corresponding couture cocktails from 22 August to the end of September 2016, at a price of just under $20 each (£15 in local currency).

The 10 unique cocktails were created by the Green Bar’s manager Derren King and inspired by the Green Bar’s celebration of botanicals. King has combined the world of fragrance and flavor to create these cocktails, working closely with the House of Givenchy to use their detailed perfume notes. The result is a range of tipples, from fresh, summery floral concoctions to headier and more full-bodied drinks. Each is paired with its own distinctive garnishes and glassware.

The Café Royal has a fascinating history and its guests include numerous bohemian intellectuals who frequented the Green Bar. The bar has already gained a reputation for using botanicals in producing gin and also in its mixology and is famous for crafting cocktails that celebrate the character of each individual type of gin, garnished individually to complete the experience.

In the new Givenchy cocktail collection, each cocktail has its own distinct color, as well as a unique taste and personality. It reflects the key fragrance notes that are unique to each of the 10 perfumes. King has highlighted the strong link between scent and taste. Guests will be able to experience the fragrances, too, as they will be kept behind the bar so that they can choose their preferred cocktail. The bartenders will explain each fragrance and the individual cocktail that has been designed with it in mind. Each cocktail will also be served with a scented button created especially by Givenchy for this exclusive collaboration.

The couture cocktail menu includes the summery ‘Chypre Caresse’, which is a delightfull mix of Slingsby London Dry Gin with exotic aromas of freshly squeezed grapefruit, agave syrup and Peychauds Bitters, topped with Prosecco and Maraschino. There’s also Oud Flamboyant, with hints of light smoke and honeycomb and woody nuances of Nikka Coffey Grain whisky, coconut black iced tea, Manuka honey and flash-flamed cinnamon. The highlight of the collection is the latest Givenchy fragrance, Iris Harmonique – the cocktail has the same name as the fragrance and includes key elements of its fragrance notes. It is a refreshing combination of coconut-infused Ketel One Vodka, kumquat liqueur and lemon zest.

All 10 Givenchy cocktails can also be prepared alcohol-free.

Exclusive limited edition Hennessy

Sip this exquisite cognac slowly and savor every single drop of the Hennessy 8, a limited edition cognac that will set you back $39,000. Baroque Access finds out all about it

French cognac producers, Hennessy, who are incidentally the largest producers of cognac in the world, have just launched a special limited edition blend to mark the appointment of a new master blender. Yann Fillioux, nicknamed ‘The Gaurdian of the Temple’, is retiring and handing over the title to his nephew, Rinauld de Gironde, making this the eighth generation of master blenders of Hennessy cognac from the Fillioux family.

To honor this auspicious occasion and welcome the eighth master blender from the family, Hennessy created a special blend, aptly named Hennessy.8. This is retiring blender Yann Fillioux’s ultimate blend, one that he created himself over a period of five years, using his 50 years of experience.

It is available in a limited edition of just 250 bottles, each made of exquisite hand-blown Baccarat crystal that features eight inset rings. The bottle is a work of art, designed by Arik Levy, who is world-famous for his artistry and a friend of Maison Hennessy.

These exclusive bottles have other distinctive features including a crystal stopper engraved with a floral motif and a copper silk thread around the collar of the bottle that creates a medallion with the letter ‘H’ for Hennessy, which is sealed with a ribbon.

Each bottle is part of a set that comprises a carafe in an oak chest, which explains why it’s so expensive. The carafe, which weights 60kg, is made up of eight crystal rings that loop around the entire bottle. It was created in 25 layers and is packed in the oak chest and detailed with copper inlays. The limited edition cognac itself is a blend of eight truly exceptional eaux-de-vie, the fermented, double-distilled spirit at the center of the cognac. Retiring blender Yann Fillioux selected seven out of the eight blends to create this precious nectar as a farewell gift.

Maison Hennessy was founded in France by Richard Hennessy in 1765. The brand sells about 50 million bottles a year all over the world, representing more than 40 per cent of the world’s cognac.

If you would like to purchase one of these rare limited edition bottles of Hennessy.8, let Baroque Access make all the arrangements for you. Contact us right away, and we will ensure that your coveted purchase is on its way to you.

The K Bar - A new addition to London’s chic bar scene

Opened this month in west London, the area famous for its vibrant bar scene, is a brand new bar at the luxurious Kensington Hotel. Baroque Travel has all the details

If you’re in London, or planning a visit to this cosmopolitan city soon, make sure to visit K Bar, the latest chic establishment to open in west London. Located at the sumptuous Kensington Hotel, this new bar has already received lots of attention. Not surprising, as the Kensington Hotel is renowned for being a stylish establishment. Apparently the K Bar will offer one of the finest drink menus in the city, including world class cocktails. No wonder everybody’s talking about it!

The K Bar has been designed to resemble a sophisticated British gentlemen’s club. Its interior includes exquisite dark oak paneling including bookcases, and the décor features lots of jade green, royal blue and polished brass details. In keeping with the sophistication of a sauve, elegant gentlemen’s establishment, the K Bar will have subtle lighting, and of course, a very extensive selection of drinks, including premium wines, cocktails and spirits.

The signature cocktail menu is going to be extensive and exclusive, a mix of traditional offerings and more innovative creations featuring contemporary ingredients as well as more classic ones. And yes, there will be non-alcoholic alternatives.

Already, despite only being open a few days, the K Bar has gained a reputation for being a bar well worth visiting in South Kensington. The hotel, which is part of the Doyle Collection, already has a very loyal following, and the bar is likely to draw an even more loyal and sophisticated crowd.

The Bar Manager is Ben Manchester, who previously worked at the Hotel du Vin in Brighton for a decade. He is responsible for creating the innovative bar menu, and choosing the classic and lesser-known cocktails (by the way, these are served to both men and women, despite the genteel gentleman’s club feel). The glamorous champagne cocktails are already gaining a following, and the non-alcoholic iterations are just as popular.

Some of the more original concoctions include the Tahona Fizz (made using Don Julio Blanco tequila, celery bitters, sugar and champagne), the VA Vo Voom, which features volda, vanilla, strawberry puree, champagne and pineapple juice, and the Rose Petal, which is decorated with red rose petals – a blend of Cointreau, rose syrup, lemon juice and the hotel’s signature champagne.

Of course, once you’ve had a drink or two, you can always stay on and enjoy dinner at the hotel’s Town House Restaurant. This would round off the luxury experience in the best way possible.

If you’d like to visit the K Bar, enjoy dinner afterwards at the Kensington Hotel’s Town House Restaurant, or stay at the hotel when you’re next in London, let Baroque Travel make all the arrangements for you. Contact us right away,, and we will organize everything for you.

St. Regis takes its traditional Bloody Mary to Moscow

The refreshing cocktail, the Bloody Mary, was invented by Fernand Petiot at St Regis New York in 1934. The hotel group has made it a tradition to serve a Bloody Mary in all of its hotels, including the St Regis Moscow Nikoskaya. Baroque Lifestyle has all the details

Wherever you go in the world, you can enjoy an excellent Bloody Mary at a St Regis hotel. The recipe may differ according to the country’s customs and ingredients, but one thing is certain, you can enjoy a Bloody Mary there. The original Bloody Mary, nicknamed the Red Snapper, was originally only enjoyed by those who came to the St Regis New York.

But it wasn’t long before the cocktail became famous the world over, and the Bloody Mary has become a regular on every single bar and restaurant menu worldwide.

To remind the world just where this delicious drink first originated, the St Regis group of hotels offers the drink in every single one of its hotels around the globe. The latest hotel to offer a Bloody Mary is the St Regis Moscow Nikoskaya. At this plush establishment, the drink is called a Red Maria and its recipe infuses the flavors of fine Russian vodka. Of course, many of the ingredients from the original New York recipe still remain, but to make the Red Maria more authentically Russian, it’s infused with some beetroot juice and served with a side of baked beetroot chips and a mangold leaf.

Ralph Lauren opens exclusive club in Milan

One of the highlights of this year’s Milan Fashion Week was the opening of Ralph Lauren’s first private luxury club in the fashionable city. Baroque Lifestyle found out all about it

An American designer stole the limelight at last month’s Milan Fashion Week. Despite the city hosting some of the most extravagant and luxurious designer collections in the world, from the likes of Versace, Gucci, Prada and Dolce & Gabbana, it was American designer Ralph Lauren who was the talk of the town.

Ralph Lauren opened an exclusive, 12,000-square-foot private club that will be used as a space to host a series of private members-only events, fashion demonstrations and appointments. Called Palazzo Ralph Lauren, this sumptuous space is located in the designer’s Milan headquarters, which are housed in a historic building in the city. Offering club members a one-of-a-kind experience, Palazzo Ralph Lauren is expected to host many high profile events in the future. And if its opening events are anything to go by, these will be extremely fancy, luxe and sought-after.

Of course, this isn’t the first time that the designer has embarked on an entertainment venture. Ralph Lauren’s iconic Polo Bar, opened in New York in 2014, and is still one of the most popular high profile destinations in the city. But the club is the designer’s first members-only lifestyle venue. It boasts an in-house chef who is on hand to prepare gourmet delicacies, an ideal upmarket venue to showcase Ralph Lauren’s distinctive fashion collections and a private place for guests to visit for one-on-one services such as shopping or tailoring.

Naturally, Ralph Lauren’s creations are extremely unique, and distinctly American. The designer is famous for his equestrian, country, classic, country-club style, a far cry from the dramatic creations favored by Italian designers. This is possibly the reason that the club is expected to do so well in Milan. It’s completely different from the norm and offers a taste of sophisticated, unfussy American design at its very best.

Of course, membership to Ralph Lauren’s exclusive luxury club is difficult to come by. But that’s what makes it so covetable. If you would like to find out whether you would be applicable for membership, contact Baroque Access,, right away, and we will find out for you.

The most expensive whisky in the world

It’s not new – Macallan Scotch Whisky joined forces with Lalique in 2005 to offer one-of-a-kind, ultra luxurious products. But the latest news of this inspiring collaboration between the Scotch distillery and luxury French company Lalique crystal, is quite fascinating. Baroque Access has all the details

Last week, a 50-year-old bottle of Macallan Scotch whisky encased in a luxurious Lalique crystal decanter, was sold for the princely sum of £43,000 (that’s approximately $65,000). And if you do your math, then we’re talking about £2,000 ($3,000) per glass. Of course, it’s doubtful that the collector is going to sample the tipple.

Interestingly enough, this is nothing new for the Macallan/Lalique collaboration. In 2010, the duo created the 6-liter Cire Perdue decanter containing the oldest-ever Macallan whisky ever released, a 64-year-old nectar. The unique decanter and its equally unique contents were auctioned in November 2010 by Sotheby’s New York and raised an incredible $460,000 for the innovative charity called water, which is dedicated to providing people in developing countries with clean, safe drinking water. A fine tribute to this magical collaboration. But it doesn’t end there – this amount became the new world record price for a bottle of Scotch whisky! Think about it- that’s around half a million dollars for a bottle of Scotch!

Macallan itself is much lauded. The malt, distilled in Speyside in Scotland, is 46% alcohol by volume, a perfect companion to the luxurious Lalique crystal decanter. This is the latest edition in a series of collaborations between Macallan and Lalique, a collection called the Macallan in Lalique Six Pillars Collection. The previous decanter in the collection, called the Macallan in Lalique ‘The Spiritual Home’ featured an exquisite, very rare 62-year-old Macallan single malt whisky. That particular edition was limited to only 400 individually numbered decanters.

The inspirational partnership between the two manufacturers is considered one of the ultimate luxury collaborations to create magnificent, desirable objets d’art. The Macallan whisky distillery estate, which was established in 1824, is also home to the Easter Elchies Houase, which was built by Captain John Grant in 1700 and is the only manor home of its kind in the UK that is part of a distillery estate.

Connoisseurs and collectors around the world have followed the Macallan/Lalique collaboration of fine rare single malt whisky and bespoke crystal decanters since its inception in 2005. And if you’re interested in adding one of these magnificent decanters to your collection, then Baroque Access can assist.

All you have to do is contact us right away,, and we will help you track down a bottle of the most expensive whisky in the world. A collector’s dream, made possible by Baroque Access.

The icon is born

More than 100 years ago, Chivas Regal was established as the first luxury whisky in the world. And to celebrate this superlative tipple, Chivas Regal recently introduced Chivas Regal The Icon, an iconic example of luxury for a new era

As we know, icons are born, not made. And that is what Chivas Regal The Icon is all about. It’s a blend of some of the brand’s oldest and rarest whiskies, the king of a superlative range of iconic whiskies. Savoring a taste of Chivas Regal The Icon is an opportunity to enjoy the very finest whisky craftsmanship in the world, a whisky that embodies the tradition of this famous Scottish brand that was created by Master Blender Colin Scott.

The Icon is the most prestigious and exclusive Scottish whisky, a smooth blend of more than 20 different whiskies in Scotland, including some rare blends that have been lost forever. It’s a perfect mix of the old and the new, a combination of unique characteristics from each distillery including the rarest malts from Strahisla, Chivas Regal’s spiritual home, which is the longest continuously operating distillery to be found in the Scottish Highlands.

The whisky includes a number of hand-selected single malts that have been blended to create a bold, unique flavour especially for the whisky connoisseur. From this year onwards, the Master Blender will create a very limited amount of bottles of this rare elixir, a rare treat for whisky connoisseurs and collectors.

Each green bottle is a magnificent, hand-crafted masterpiece, a hand-blown crystal decanter created especially for Chivas Regal by the master craftsmen at Dartington Crystal. Each glass bottle is meticulously etched and finished with exquisitely crafted metalwork and decorated with a beautiful luckenbooth stopper, a traditional Celtic symbol of love. The distinctive green-coloured bottle, which has been the trademark color of Chivas Regal since the company’s first 25-year-old whisky was created in 1909, is certain to be a hit.

Of course, the tasting notes are quite sublime, celebrating the craftsmanship and excellence for which the brand is so well known. According to Master Blender Colin Scott, it’s “a truly exquisite blend - perfectly smooth with an intense concentration of sumptuous flavors that develop into an exceptionally long, lingering finish."

The inaugural edition of Chivas Regal The Icon was made available to purchase this past May in Dubai and will continue to be available there until the end of September 2015. Baroque Access can arrange a bottle for you, if you are interested, as this luxury Scotch whisky will only be freely available from October 2015 onwards for US$3,500. Exclusive London nightclub opens in Dubai and Mykonos

One of London’s most exclusive nightclubs, Toy Room, has recently spread its wings and opened in both Dubai and Mykonos. Let Baroque Travel book your reservations in London, Dubai or Mykonos this summer

Now you can travel to three exciting destinations to enjoy the thrill and excitement of London’s exclusive Toy Room, a boutique nightclub that opened in London in September 2014 and is famous for offering the very best in hip hop and R&B in a luxurious, intimate setting.

London’s Toy Room has always boasted an extremely exclusive guest list for the likes of Lindsay Lohan, Nicole Scherzinger, Jourdan Dunn and Mollie King. It has a capacity for just 180 guests as well as 12 private tables with cosy leather couches. The atmosphere is relaxed, carefree and intimate. The club has been such a resounding success that owners Luca Maggiora and Jordan Rocca decided to expand. And so the Dubai and Mykonos establishments were designed.

Toy Room Dubai, which opened on April 7th, is located at the famous Al Murooj Rotana Hotel. Although a sister nightclub to Toy Room London, this one has a decided Emirates twist. The color scheme is softer, avante garde artwork on the walls is by rapper 50 Cent and designer Karl Lagerfeld, and the sound and lighting facilities are excellent. Music played has been described as hip hop with “a twist of rock”. The club is open Sundays to Thursdays from 11pm to 3am, and is already becoming popular with the rich and famous.

Toy Room Mykonos, which opens at the end of May, has an idyllic setting in the heart of Little Venice on the jetset Greek island of Mykonos. It’s a much smaller, more private and exclusive destination, designed in an open plan setting with exquisite bespoke furniture. Artwork on the walls was commissioned from Philippe Cardin and the lighting and sound system is going to be superlative.

All three Toy Room nightclubs have the same iconic mascot, Frank the Bear, a teddy bear that wears sunglasses, who will be seen dancing along with guests throughout the night in typical Toy Room style.

If you are planning to visit Dubai, Mykonos or London this summer, Baroque Travel will make all your travel arrangements for you, including flights, accommodation and reservations at the Toy Room. Contact us right away so that we can arrange everything for you.

The world’s most prestigious vodka brand

A recipe for one of the most iconic vodka’s ever created was discovered a century ago in Finland – and now this nectar of the Russian tsars is available to those who can afford it. Baroque Lifestyle gives us all the details about the exclusive Kors vodka brand

The most prestigious vodka brand in the world, Kors Vodka, was originally created for the last Russian Tsar, Nikolas II Alexandrovich Romanov at the beginning of the 20th Century. A best-kept secret, the vodka was relatively unknown by the rest of the world, except for those who received a gift from the Tsar. One of those lucky enough to be given a bottle of this extraordinary vodka was King George the Fifth of England, who also happened to be the Tsar’s first cousin.

The story goes that King George loved the vodka so much that he requested the recipe – and his cousin, the Tsar, sent it to him, along with a small batch of the handmade tipple. Sadly, neither the vodka nor the recipe reached their destination. But they were found on a small farm in Finland, which was known as ‘the Kors Farm’.

To this day, Kors vodka is known as being the purest, most exclusive vodka in the world with a flawless taste. Because the distillation recipe was discovered, the vodka is now being created again, in limited editions in the same exquisite handmade crystal bottle. With its hand-painted gold decorations, ultra-luxurious packaging and a private VIP membership required to acquire a bottle, this historic vodka is one of the most luxurious products available today.

Today, the vodka is still distilled as it was more than a century ago – and the distillation process is a very complex one, which is why only a very small quantity of vodka is produced on an annual basis. To achieve the taste of the original, water samples from all over Europe were tested, and finally water from the Italian Alps was selected as the ideal ingredient. This water is still used to produce Kors vodka along with rye and wheat that is hand selected from 12 different countries to ensure that the taste is as smooth as possible.

Of course, there’s more. The original vodka was distilled using diamond distillation and this extraordinary method created a smooth taste that cannot be replicated. It is, of course, extremely expensive to distill in this manner, but, for those who are producing this quality product, price is no object. In addition, one of the key elements of the distillation process involved pure gold tubes, and these are still used to this day.

The original distillery, where the vodka produced for King George the Fifth was produced, was destroyed during the Second World War, but the legacy of this superlative product still exists, thanks to the recipe being found. If you would like to get hold of one of these very precious bottles of vodka, contact Baroque Lifestyle, info@baroquelifestyle, and we will arrange it for you. But be prepared to pay for this privilege – the price for a bottle is $24,500!
