Every year, the Monaco Yacht Show showcases more than 125 extraordinary super yachts built by the most respected shipyards in the world as well as over 590 leading companies from the yachting industry. From 27 to 30 September, the show will unveil no less than 40 new launches in a worldwide debut. Exhibitors, yacht captains and the VIPs from the yachting fraternity will each have access to their own dedicated private zone from where they can organize their participation.

Don’t miss out. Come and discover the year’s most awaited super yachts, as well as 40 tenders and toys on display at Quai Jarlan and Quai Antoine the first. Set in Monaco’s iconic Port Hercules, you will find 593 exhibitors from more than 38 different countries, each showcasing their wares. Monaco is the ultimate showcase for yacht industry influencers, including builders of super yachts, award-winning yacht designers, luxury suppliers, influential brokerage houses not to mention manufacturers of prestigious cars, helicopters and private jets.

This premiere luxury event has an idyllic setting against the glamorous backdrop of Monaco, and is an event not to be missed. One of the highlights for 2017 will be a line-up of super yachts from luxury British boat builder Sunseeker, which comprises its 131, 116 and 95 Yachts. They will be on display at the exclusive Sunseeker lounge in front of the legendary Yacht Club de Monaco.

Demand for the tri-deck 131 Sunseeker Yacht has been unprecedented since it launched in 2016. Ten of these super yachts have been sold around the world, each one bespoke to its owner’s requirements. The 131 Yacht is the largest of five new models launched by Sunseeker in 2016, famous for its spacious and light interiors created with glass throughout the decks, in the master stateroom, saloon and upper saloon. The yacht accommodates 10 people in five cabins and features a new bar, external sky deck and upper deck aft cockpit. The yacht has a top speed of 23 knots (at 10 knots, it features an extended cruising range of 1,500 naturical miles).

The 116 Sunseeker yacht features elegant lines, an open-plan layout and a stylish interior. It boasts a top speed of 26 knots and an extended cruising range of 1,250 nautical miles when operated at 10 knots. Its foredeck features an entire entertainment area, with optional hot tub, flybridge with retractable sunroof, spacious area for seating and dining plus an expansive wet bar. The interior can be customized to the owner’s requirements and there is accommodation for 10, maximum 12 guests.

The final yacht, the Sunkeeker 95 has a unique main deck layout with a special master cabin triplex configuration, offering more flexibility and space. The luxurious master stateroom is located on the main deck with a staircase leading to a mid-level dressing area and en suite facilities. The flybridge is located above deck and features a second helm, bar, optional hot tub and lots of seating for guests.

Sunseeker International will also be showcasing an exclusive range of merchandise, ‘The Sunseeker Collection’ of clothing, leather goods and accessories.

Cannes Yachting Festival

September is yacht month, starting with the fabulous Cannes Yachting Festival, which, this year, celebrates its 40th anniversary. Baroque Access finds out all about this highlight in the international yachting calendar

For the past 40 years, the Cannes Yachting Festival has been a highlight of the social calendar on the French Riviera, and this year, from 12 to 17 September, will be no exception. The resort will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of this auspicious 6-day event that takes place in Cannes’ sparkling bay in two exceptional marinas, Vieux Port (the old port) and Port Pierre Canto as well as at the Palais des Festivals, located at either end of the famous Croisette in Cannes, the ideal location for hosting an event of such magnitude.

The Cannes Yachting Festival has grown over the years to become one of the leading in-water boat shows in Europe, with more than 550 boats expected to be on display including over 100 world premiere editions. Last year, 50,000 visitors attended, and it is expected that there will be even more in 2017.

In 2016, the festival included La Terrasse for the first time, an area that was solely dedicated to luxury brands. This year, the event includes a Luxury Gallery to include those premium brands associated with the world of yachting, such as cars, watches, jewelry, aviation, property, gourmet food, fashion, décor and design, photography and art, hotels, high-tech products and upmarket services. Brands expected to showcase their wares include Porsche, Interni SPA, Tiber, Marc Alexandre and many more.

In addition, the Yachting Festival will feature a number of special events. Along the quays and pontoons in Cannes, visitors who include yacht owners and prospective buyers will discover the finest vessels available from shipyards around the world. The Festival brings together key players in pleasure boating and international luxury yachting, including exhibitors who have come to showcase their new vessels, products and services. Throughout the festival, various shipyards will offer visitors a trip out to sea so that they can see first-hand what it’s like to sail on the finest yachts in the world. This is how buyers make their final choice before purchasing a super yacht.

The show is open daily from 10am to 7pm (it closes at 6pm on Sunday 17 September). If you are interested in any further information, let Baroque Access assist. Contact us immediately, info@baroqueaccess.com and we will assist you in any way possible. Henley Royal Regatta

A highlight of the social season as well as one of the most popular sporting events of the year, the Henley Royal Regatta comes up again in Britain in June 2017. Baroque Access finds out all about what is considered the most famous regatta in the world

Every year, thousands of people flock to the United Kingdom to attend the 5-day Henley Royal Regatta, which features more than 200 races of an international standard, including not only Olympians, but also crews that are new to the event. Aside from being a spectator at some of the best rowing in the world, visitors can also participate in all the activities and entertainment on offer, which includes a wide selection of bars and restaurants as well as shops, not to mention the scenic views of Henley and the River Thames.

This historic regatta has been entertaining avid fans and spectators since it was first held in 1839. And the 2017 regatta, which takes place from 28 June to 2 July, is expected to be even bigger and better than ever. One of the reasons for this is the collaboration with three luxury brands – auto makers Aston Martin, the Bremont Watch Company and clothing label Hackett London are the three official partners for what is one of the highlights of the British summer social scene.

Aston Martin, which has been operating in Britain for over a century is going to showcase its range of renowned sports cars including the acclaimed Grand Tourer during the Regatta and it will also provide transport for key officials and VIP guests during the 5-day event.

Every year the Henley Royal Regatta attracts over 300,000 visitors who line the banks of Henley-on-Thames to watch international crews race the famous course, a distance of 2.112km. Since the Regatta started in the 19th Century, there have been four different courses. This particular course was first used in 1924 and is in a straight line from below the Berkshire side of Temple Island in Henley all the way to Poplar Point.

All of the events that take place are grouped into different categories. The highest level features six open events for men, and six for women. The intermediate level includes three events for men, chosen from the best of the club and student crews. The next level has five events for the rest of the club and student rowers. The final level features two events for junior men and one event for junior women. The Regatta’s most prestigious event is the Grand Challenge Cup for Men's Eights. The draw for the races is held at 3pm on the Saturday before the Regatta starts in the town hall of the village of Henley on Thames. Races start on Wednesday 28 June.

This year, the eighth edition of the annual Les Voiles de St Barth takes place from 10 to 15 April. This is the time when visitors flock to this jetset Caribbean island to enjoy not only the boat racing, but also take part in what makes St Barth such a stunning beach getaway, with plenty of activities and concerts held on the beach.

From around the world, sailors such as Ken Read, Cam Lewis, Terry Hutchinson and more have also become part of this famous event. In fact, more than 1,200 sailors from more than 20 different countries now gather every year to enjoy four days of intense competition, with the breathtaking scenery of St Barth as the backdrop.

This masterpiece of horology is powered by the grade 5 titanium RMAC2 caliber that offers 55 hours of power reserve, a variable inertia balance as well as complete flyback chronograph functionality. There’salso an annual calendar and oversized date and UTC function. Your complete guide to the St Barts Bucket Regatta

Yacht aficionados know that Buckets are the best. Held in St Barts every year, this fine traditional gentleman’s sailing regatta attracts a fleet of 30 beautiful sailboats and is a popular event on the yachting calendar. Baroque Yachts finds out all the details

St Barts Bucket Regatta combines a great opportunity for socializing, meeting like-minded yacht fanatics, designers, owners and boat builders and showing off hip new yachts. Those on vacation in St Barts enjoy a rare opportunity to admire some magnificent vessels that are anchored in the harbor, and can also attend these fun social events, which include numerous parties on the water.

Unlike other yachting events, this one is extremely relaxed and non-commercial. In fact, the organizers always select a charity to which they donate a share of entry fees each year.

This year marks the 30th consecutive exciting event; St Barts has hosted this exciting event for 30 years in a row. The St Barts Regatta combines outstanding yacht racing with a fine selection of glam social activities that are held on Gustavia Harbor. The event has become one of the most established and prestigious invitational sailing yacht races in the world; it lights up this jet set Caribbean island for three glorious days.

The annual event comprises four different competitions arranged by the Bucket Association when 30 yachts that are at least 100 feet long or longer will compete around the island. The regatta is considered unique as both yacht owners and crews can experiment with their yachts’ capabilities in an extremely safe, not to mention very beautiful, environment.

This regatta has its own very fascinating set of rules. For instance, any yacht on the water that is considered too aggressive or competitive will be immediately excluded from the race. At the beginning of the race, all yachts have to rely on sail power only. If the crew or owners want to complain about anything, they have to accompany this complaint with champagne. As we said earlier, this is a gentleman’s race!

Looking back at last week’s Monaco Yacht Show 2016

Last week, Baroque Yachts had the privilege of attending the biggest yachting event of the season, the 26th edition of the Monaco Yacht Show. We look back at some of the highlights

No yacht show has quite the impact and history as the Monaco Yacht Show, and this year’s event was no exception. Add to that the magnificent location – the principality of Monaco – where the weather and the offerings on display were no disappointment, and this was an event to remember.

Every year the show gets bigger and better, and the 2016 Monaco Yacht Show did not disappoint. Starting off on 27 September with the Monaco Yacht Show Gala where several awards were given out for excellence, and continuing with a selection of fabulous events and experiences, the show was bigger and better than ever. There were more than 120 super yachts on display, and we have already featured some of our highlights, including offerings from Feadship and Benetti as well as a selection of extraordinary mega yachts for charter.

Super yacht Genesi

Super yacht Genesi

Highlights of the show were the winning super yachts, Genesi, Galactica Supernova and Sybaris, who sailed off with the Monaco Yacht Show Awards at the Gala Dinner – and when we took a look at these exquisite vessels, we understood why they were chosen as the best of the best.

Being in the hub of the action was an exciting experience, and Baroque Yachts met up with various leaders in the sailing field, as well as yacht owners and aficionados. It is certainly a very different experience being at the show to watching from the sidelines, and Baroque Yachts plans to attend every year to bring breaking news about the latest super yachts and their toys to our very attentive audience.

We gained so much insight into what’s happening in this ever-evolving world, found out about the latest news regarding yacht charter, new yachts on the scene making their global debuts and so much more. It was extremely exciting to find out about new concepts from leading shipyards such as Oceanco and Feadship, to learn all about the new technology being used to build yachts and on the yachts themselves.

Some of the latest tech was quite mind-boggling: there’s Augmented Reality Edge in the Feadship Future Concept, exceptional innovation in Benetti’s Now concept yachts, an opportunity to see Heesen Yachts’ latest innovations in Virtual Reality – and let’s not forget the parties – these were plentiful, enabling us to get to know everybody in the yacht world in a more relaxed environment.

We explored some of the largest and most luxurious yachts in the world, and partied on some of them, too. We met yacht builders and yacht designers, yacht owners and yacht fans, and everybody else in the yacht world. We have made excellent new contacts, to ensure that we can bring you up-to-date news and views from the world of yachting going forward.

So, if there is anything you’d like to know about last week’s 2016 Monaco Yacht Show, any information you’d like regarding the stories we featured in the past week on Baroque Lifestyle website as well as in Social Media, please feel free to contact us, info@baroqueyachts.com and we will assist.

The 2016 Feadship Future Concept is aptly named Choice; everything about this new yacht revolves around choice. The shipyard, which is famous for building super yachts of distinction, offers its clients the opportunity to customize their yacht in any way possible.

For starters, Choice boasts a two-man drone hat is kept on board. And then there’s a detachable beach house. And did we mention the Feadship Independent Control System (FICS)? Now that’s another matter entirely. And these are just some of the choices on offer. As any super yacht, especially a Feadship model, is all not just about getting from one location to another, the onboard experience is also emphasized. And in this department, the choice on offer is also quite sublime, whether you’re lazing on the louver deck, taking a dip in the stabilized swimming pool or enjoying the experience of having a sandy beach on board.

There are other advantages to this type of super yacht. Compared to other 80m vessels, Choice offers a substantial savings in fuel. And then there’s the tenders, which enable guests to get to their destinations quickly. The new concept yacht also offers autonomous control, which means that the yacht can run on its own without the efforts of the crew. The FICS system mentioned earlier uses sensor technology and real-time online info such as weather forecasts, wave radar and traffic data to gather everything necessary to know about the surrounding conditions. And the yacht then responds accordingly. It will automatically decide the most suitable route to sail, find the best location to detach tenders, and also give notice when it’s safe to take off with the drone.

If that’s all sounding extremely high-tech and other-wordly, we understand. If you’d like more information, or a better explanation, feel free to contact Baroque Yachts and we will assist you. Email us right away, info@baroqueyachts.com.

Benetti launches NOW super yachts at the 2016 Monaco Yacht Show

One of the highlights of the 2016 Monaco Yacht Show so far was the brand new line of super yachts revealed by shipyard Benetti, entitled NOW. Baroque Yachts finds out all the details

The new line created by Benetti, entitled NOW was a collaboration between the shipyard and architect Stefano Natucci and British Design Studio Redman Whiteley Dixon. The range offers a selection of unique, modern yachts that take less time to build. Benetti is now using a model that combines haute couture interior décor with a faster production time that is usually only possible with yachts that are manufactured in series. This method of construction is being implemented at their HQ in Viareggio and will now also be introduced at the Livorno shipyard. However, at Livorno, only yachts of 50m long and more will be built using this method.

With a history of building more than 350 yachts, Benetti is now ready to create these pre-engineered and pre-designed super yachts. Their brand new NOW range will all be built according to what they call a ‘Smart-designed custom series”. Over 50m in length, built from steel and aluminium at their shipyard in Livorno. There will be four models available: the 50m B164, the 58.6m B192, the 65m B214 and the 73m B240. All of the yachts are unique, and have been built in line with modern standards of excellence but with a reduced construction time.

These new yachts have been designed to satisfy the needs of both brokers and owners all over the world, whether they are purchasing a yacht for charter, or for their personal use. Construction starts within the next few months.

If you would like to find out more about Benetti’s new line of NOW super yachts, let Baroque Yachts assist. Contact us now, info@baroqueyachts.com, for any information you require.

Monaco Yacht Show acknowledges the best of 2016

At the Monaco Yachts Show Gala event, the best super yachts of 2016 received numerous awards and accolades. Baroque Yachts reports live from the 2016 Monaco Yacht Show

For the 26th year in a row, Monaco is not only showcasing the best and most luxurious super yachts in the world, it is also honoring them at its annual Monaco Yacht Show (MYS). We were reminded of the importance of an event such as this show, which provides a world stage for the super yacht community to showcase their latest cutting edge designs and innovations.

The gala event, which was held at the Hermitage Hotel in Monaco, was host to representatives of the super yacht industry from all corners of the globe including the likes of Abeking & Rasmussen, Perini Navi, Heesen Yachts, Feadship, Benetti, Espen Oeino, Blohm + Voss and many, many more.

The highlight of the Gala event is the Monaco Yacht Show 2016 Awards, the third installment of this important initiative. And at the show, three magnificent super yachts, selected from a list of 13, split the four top awards amongst themselves.

Heesen Yachts was the biggest winner at the show, winning two awards, firstly for its exceptional exterior work on the Galactica Supernova, and also for the Galactica being the best super yacht at the Monaco Yacht Show.

The Finest New Super Yacht Award went to Galactica Super Nova, the 70m Heesen flagship vessel that was launched earlier this year. It also won the Best Interior Design Award. This outstanding vessel, commissioned in December 2013, was built and delivered in just 41 months.

Galactica Super Nova, is not only one of the 200 largest yachts in the world; it’s also one of the fastest, thanks to two MTU wing engines with fixed pitch propellers and a third central engine with Rolls Royce booster water jet. She reaches a maximum speed of 30.3 knots in just 75 seconds.

The 70m sailing yacht 70-meter sailing yacht, Sybaris, received an award for its exquisite exterior design. The yacht, which also launched earlier this year, is the second largest yacht from Italian shipyard Perini Navi; the first was the famous Maltese Falcon. The yacht’s interior design was created by an American studio, PH Design. All the furniture was custom-designed.

The MYS/RINA Award went to the 47m eco-friendly yacht Genesi, the first yacht to be built by Italian shipyard, Wider. This award, which is given for being green, was created by Italian classification company, RINA. The shipyard is currently working on a new project, the 50m Project Cecilia.

Prestige cars at the 2016 Monaco Yacht Show

It’s not only about luxury super yachts at the 2016 Monaco Yacht Show. Baroque Ground, who is covering the show with Baroque Yachts in the principality this year, finds out all about the MYS Car Deck, which is showcasing an impressive range of prestige vehicles

Make sure to spend some time at the Monaco Yacht Show’s brand new attraction, the Monaco Yacht Show Car Deck when you visit this year’s Monaco Yacht Show. You’ll find a stunning selection of prestige cars on display. Much like the very popular Rolls-Royce Summer Studio that took place recently in Porto Cervo, the MYS organizers realized that yacht owners also love magnificent cars. One only has to look at what’s being driven to the show to get an idea of what yacht owners are driving. So taking this into consideration was a logical next step.

The exhibition space, which is located on Quai Rainier II in Port Hercules, features luxurious automobiles of every kind, which are on display outdoors on the quay, and are also available for test drives throughout the four days that the show runs (Wednesday 28 September right through to Saturday 01 October). The Car Deck also features a spacious indoor bar-lounge where guests can relax.

Rolls-Royce Dawn

Rolls-Royce Dawn

Of course, the vehicles on display in the 230-square-meter exhibition space are extremely high quality vehicles. You can expect to see the best of the best from Ferrari, Lamborghini, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, McLaren, Tesla and other ultra-luxe, covetable cars. So make your way there, and organize a test drive through the streets of the town. After all, if these winding roads are good enough for the famous Monaco Grand Prix, they are good enough for you to test drive a prospective new vehicle!

Lamborghini Huracan

Lamborghini Huracan

The company Monaco Luxury Group is exhibiting Bentley, Ferrari and McLaren models, and the Italian manufacturer, Upper Wish, is unveiling a brand new concept vehicle. In addition, Italian car-maker Lamborghini is showing off the Huracan LP 610-4 Spyder, considered to be one of the most coveted cabriolets on the luxury market. The legendary Rolls-Royce Dawn is also on display, as is the Tesla Model S P90D. You’ll also be able to see the latest versions of the Mercedes-Benz Class S550 and the Range Rover Autobiography, brought to you by Centigon France.

Of course, if you would like to purchase one of these magnificent vehicles, contact us right away, info@baroqueground.com, and we will assist you in every way we can, with information or, if you require, a test drive. The Car Deck is open from 10am to 6.30pm every day during the Monaco Yacht Show.

The exciting Monaco Yacht Show, which runs from Wednesday 28 September until Saturday 01 October, is featuring more and more megayachts. Baroque Yachts, who are in the principality for the event, reports from the show

Mega yacht Solandge

Mega yacht Solandge

This year’s Monaco Yacht Show features more yachts than ever before, and also bigger ones! With more than 120 yachts on display, it’s hard to know which ones to look at. But if you’re looking for the best of the best, then look out for those megayachts that are all trending right now. We have marked those which are for charter as well as for sale.

Largest of all is the super yacht Athena, which measures almost 300 feet (90m) in length. The Royal Huisman yacht, which is also one of the most luxurious of its kind in the world, boasts three masts is already written down in yacht history. With a sumptuous spacious interior and lots of old world charm, this powerful megayacht, valued at almost $70 million, is a force to be reckoned with.

There are more than 10 other megayachts at the show for you to explore, all more than 65m in length and many available for charter. The amount on display this year is double the number of megayachts that were on display in 2015.Here’s a taste of some of the other magnificent megayachts to look out for…

Everybody’s talking about the ISA motoryacht Okto, which is available for charter. This striking $60 million schooner boasts a swimming pool on its main deck that is almost 20 feet long. This ultra-luxurious yacht also boasts a guest elevator that runs up to the bridgedeck, as well as an owner’s balcony that extends at the touch of a button, and four tender garages. But that’s not all. It’s fully customized and offers some unique features resulting in a vessel that offers every possible comfort as well as significantly lower levels of noise, vibration and fuel consumption in all the guest areas.

If you’re looking for lots of bells and whistles, not to mention every possible super yacht toy imaginable, the luxurious TV may well be your choice – whether you want to charter the yacht or buy it at around $60 million. This 78.5m (255ft) luxury motor yacht from Lurssen Yachts has facilities to entertain up to 12 guests in absolute luxury, with a spacious private area on the owner’s deck with Jacuzzi and sundeck. There’s even a dedicated gym, spa and hammam area, all sorts of watersports toys, a large fold-down sea terrace to give guests access from the sea to the sauna. In addition, there’s a helipad on the bridge deck aft.

Interested in travelling on a long distance adventure? Then the $70 million Yersin, which is built by the Piriou Shipyard and only for sale, is the one to buy. Designed to comfortably accommodate up to 18 guests, this fully air-conditioned French megayacht boasts 8 cabins including a VIP stateroom, space for up to 24 crew, and every possible amenity, including a helipad and tender garage.

Other yachts to look out for? If you’re in the charter market, like we are, you’ll want to see Solandge, which is 278 feet long, a striking megayacht that offers six-star luxury on six different decks. This magnificent vessel won the “La Belle Class Superyachts” award in 2014, and ‘Best Exterior’ at the 2015 Monaco Yacht Show.

Yachts worth exploring if you’re in town and in the mood to purchase include the approximately $79 million Italian offering called Martha Ann, which is 230 feet long, includes plenty of toys and tenders including a limo, two wave runners and scuba diving equipment. And did we mention the interior is quite sublime? In fact, the silk carpeting alone is valued at $17 million! There’s also the 252-foot long Silver Fast, which has just returned from Australia, Stella Maris, which measures 236 feet, which has a price tag of around $85 million and offers luxe facilities for up to 14 passengers.

Sailing yachts trending at the 2016 Monaco Yacht Show

Coming to you live from the 2016 Monaco Yacht Show, Baroque Yachts checks out what’s trending right now – the revival of sailing yachts

The excitement is palpable, and there is so much to see here at the 2016 Monaco Yacht Show on the first day. The show, which runs from Wednesday 28 September to Saturday 01 October, has opened with a bang. Yacht aficionados and prospective yacht buyers are taking everything in their stride as there’s so much to see and do here. But we’ve already noticed a major trend we thought we’d share with you.

The major trend right now is the rising number of sailing yachts on display at the show. Leading the pack is the 70m Sybaris from Perini Navi, followed by the 48.15m Arzana Navi offering called Nativa.

A definite must-see, Sybaris is also one of the largest yachts at the show. Only launched this year, this sailing super yacht was commissioned for owner Bill Duker, who has numerous vessels in his fleet. Designed by Philippe Brand, this magnificent yacht includes towering carbon fiber masts and a total sail plan of 3,000 square meters. Interiors were created by PH Design and are modern and minimal.

Also making waves at the show is the Nativa, which was launched in 2013. Italian-made, this 48.15 aluminium sloop offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 cabins.

When it comes to classic sailing yachts, the 41.3m Alejandra is one of the best. She may have been around since 1993, but she’s still going strong. She boasts classic styling by Bruce King inside and out and accommodates up to 8 guests in 4 beautiful mahogany cabins.

New on the block is Crossbow, a 31.7m Milanese-styled masterpiece. She boasts four cabins that can accommodate up to 8 guests and space for a crew of four. Another newbie is Shamanna, launched by Finnish yard Nautor in April. This 35.2m yacht was designed for high performance sailing and accommodates up to 8 guests in four cabins.

Of course, that’s just a taste of what’s on offer in the sailing yachts category. There’s also the 37.43m Ludynosa G, from New Zealand’s Fitroy Yachts and Baltic offering, the 32.64m Inukshuk, one of three yachts on display at the show with interiors created by London designers Adam Lay Studio. Also watch out for Emmaline, designed by Dykstra Naval Architects and 32.33m in length, which boasts an aluminum hull and accommodates up to six guests.

26th Monaco Yacht Show

The numbers are mind-boggling… 125 super yachts on display, 580 different exhibitors, not to mention 40 tenders and toys. We’re talking about the 2016 Monaco Yacht Show that starts on 28 September. Baroque Access has all the details

This event is the highlight of the Principality of Monaco’s annual calendar and is now entering its 26th year. The Monaco Yacht Show is where yacht aficionados and prospective yacht buyers flock to admire, visit and perhaps purchase some of the most exquisite super yachts in the world, built by the most respected shipyards. At least 40 new yachts are launched every year at the show, along with almost 600 companies and partners that participate, the latest trends in naval architecture and the technological gadgets or nautical leisure accessories of tomorrow.

Of course, Monaco offers a perfectly glamorous setting and the event is also hosted by His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco. Held over four days at Port Hercules, the Monaco Yacht Show is the definitive showcase for super yachts from around the world (we’re talking about yachts that are over 30m in length). Whilst more than 100 of these vessels are to be found in the principality’s Port Hercules, others are further out to sea, creating an astonishing spectacle.

Exploring the extravagant luxury yachts on display is an adventure not to be missed, and if you’re in the market for a new vessel or wish to charter a super yacht, this show is the place to be. Of course, this is a pastime that is restricted to those who can afford upward of £100 million (that’s almost US$133 million!) to buy a super yacht, not counting at least 10% of that sum annually for maintenance of the yacht.

This year, a selection of exquisite prestige cars will also be displayed at the Monaco Yacht Show in the new prestige car exhibition zone, including the likes of Lamborghini, Rolls-Royce, Tesla and various others. In addition to the 10 models on display at the Monaco Yacht Show Car Deck, visitors and exhibitors will enjoy an indoor lounge bar for refreshments. The cars will also be available for test drives and for purchase. Lamborghini will showcase the Huracan LP610-4 Spyder at the show, and the Rolls-Royce Dawn will also be on display. Tesla’s Model S P90D, known for its staggering speed, will also be an exhibit, as will an armored Range Rover Autobiography and the Mercedes Benz Class S550.

This year, more than 34,000 people will participate in the 26th Monaco Yacht Show, which is considered an important indicator of the luxury industry. The night before the show starts, on 27 September, 400 guests will enjoy a gala opening evening. Prior to this, just 50 guests will enjoy an exclusive Monaco Yacht Summit. This year, transport facilities have been improved so that guests can travel between the various exhibition areas in Port Hercules with ease, and there will be a golf cart service as well to back up the network of courtesy cars and bus shuttles connecting Monaco hotels to the Port. In addition, there will be three helicopter services between Monaco and Nice airport and the Cannes and Saint Tropez business terminals. There is also a new Monaco Yacht Show app that was launched at the end of August to facilitate transport to any exhibition booth or yacht that interests a visitor.
