It’s the largest indoor show to be held in the US, not just the Gulf Coast, and offers a variety of products to suit numerous interests.
Exhibitors will have displays of every type of boat imaginable, including offshore fishing boats, those used in shallow water, luxury cruisers, inflatable rafts, bay and pontoon boats and many more. Water sports and diving equipment and accessories will also be on show as well as sea rescue and emergency kits, and much more. Visitors will literally be able to find everything related to outdoor boating, as well as camping and fishing equipment, patio furniture, clothing and exotic travel.
A new addition for 2016 is an educational activity called Croc Encounters: Live Alligator Wrestling! This non-profit sanctuary, which has been in existence for the past decade, is dedicated to rescuing reptiles and educates the public about endangered reptile species as well as demonstrating alligator wresting, a humane, bare-handed capture technique that has been in existence for centuries (it was apparently first used by Native Americans). Other educational events at the show include fishing demonstrations at the 5,000-gallon Bass Tub Aquarium and Fish-O-Rama, a Houston show favorite, where kids crawl into a giant inflatable bubble that skips and glides across a pool of water.
